John Negroponte on 'The World in 2007'

Ambassador John Negroponte, the US Director of National Intelligence, was the guest speaker at the Oxford Analytica dinner at Blenheim Palace on 22 September. His address is very well worth the attention of anyone with an interest in the future of globalization, the changing geopolitical landscape, global macro-strategic trends and terrorism.

Hi Rob,
Negroponte's words echo Thomas Friedman in his second version of 'The World is Flat'; the third wave of globalization is synonymous with 'traditional stable hierarchical forms' which give way to 'loose and dynamic networks that form and dissolve rapidly to accomplish their goals'.
